Chase Market Velocity

Market Velocity is about reaching that point when your business takes off. Two key themes drive market velocity. First, the principles Mark Leslie has espoused with his Enterprise Sales Learning Curve framework. Second, smart Internet-based marketing.

About Me

My photo
Dave
I have spent my career launching various new businesses initially with “BigCos” (Accenture & Microsoft) & then with startups. I founded Microsoft's healthcare business that has grown to over $500MM in revenue. While in that role, I was selected as Marketer of the Year. My other work at Microsoft was being a leader of various Internet properties and then joining the MSN team as Managing Director of Industry Marketing & Relations when it became a $1B business and profitable in the early 2000's. While in that role, I led Microsoft's industry growth initiatives by being an Executive Board member of the IAB in the aftermath of the dotcom bust. Our efforts developing breakthrough industry research, ad standards and educational tours led to the turnaround that has sustained the Internet's growth as an ad medium. Subsequent to leaving Microsoft in 2003, I have invested or consulted with startups including playing interim executive roles. This included stints with iMediaCommunications, LiveRez and WhatCounts that have been market leaders in their respective sectors. I also have owned/operated one of the first hyperlocal websites to have achieved profitability.
